Yay! I’m first today! Finally something good happened today. I find the website that I use to post on the blog by just searching the topic on ask.com. I honestly do not even think whether the site is a reputable one or not. It’s not like I know if the information is true or not, that is why I’m looking it up in the first place. The link to follow is a good link because it has a checklist of things you can look at to see if the site is reputable. I think you should take a look, it might help you from picking site filled with all wrong information.

Ello, well I find my websites by Googleing the topic I am being asked to present. Then I check a couple of different links before I choose which one i am going to use. I find the website that i post by going to google.
Before i actually pick the link, i check-out a couple of different links. I do this so i can find the one that best supports my theory. I usually go for the websites that are from newspapers or from people who actually write books and post their stuff onine.

I picked this link beacuse it explains how to tell if the web page is fake or not. It explains what you have to look for to figure out if it is real or someone just having fun.

I simply find my link by googling (i like that word) it. I then go to a bunch of the links that popped up and read them to see if it sounds legit or not. Like Anna, I don't really think whether the website is reputable or not. I obviously don't know the topic all that well if I'm googling (:D) it.

For picking a website, I just type what I'm looking for into google, and pick what looks respectable. I generally get articles from well known news-sites, so I guess that they're relatively honest.

I find the site that I use just by searching on Google. Sometimes I can't tell if the website I use is honest or official, but I can sometimes. But most of the time, official websites will be run by something well known. Down below is my site:

To find the website I post, I search Google or the Poughkeepsie Journal. I never know for sure if the Google sites are reliable, but I'm pretty sure the Poughkeepsie Journal doesn't lie.

The link suggests that you look for an author or a site administrator. That way, you can find out if it's a reliable site.
 

I find the websites that I post by simply doing a google search. I try to find the website that is most related to the subject I type in. I check to see if a website is legitimate (I hope I spelled that right..) by checking to see if they include links about copyrights, authors of the site, etc. The link that is helpful to determine if a website is true is:

One of the things that this site says to do is to look at the site's domain registration information.
 

I chose my website by looking on google news. I try to find a site like CNN or ABC or some other major news site. I trust those sites because it would be hard to hack on to that site and post without it getting removed. Here is a site to find out if the site you are using has real or fake infomation.

* I know the site is giving me "honest" and "ethical" information because it is usually a site that either pertains to the object or certain theory or whatever or like i see the same information on other sites, but its never really certain that all the information is true and honest.

I (like so many before me) use Google! I check to see if a website is sponsered or owned by a well-known and trusted organization, and if the material is supported by other websites as well.

Well, when I have to choose a website, I usually search on google, using basic key words. I try and choose sites that are well known, and sites where the information can't be changed, like Wikipedia or something. Also, I check different sites and scan through what they say, to get the basic idea of them, and make sure its sensible, nothing obviously false. Most of the time, I don't worry about if its credible or not if it comes from a major site, like cnn. When the site I choose isn't a major site, then I try and read through it a few times, to make sure it explains my point well.

Umm i usually just type up some key words on google and see what i get.When i get to a site i usually check to see if it is sponsored by someone.I usually gont know if the website that i am at has authentic and ethical info.

This site says that you should check the URL to see if it is a personal page and the date to see if it is current.
 

If I am looking for a reliable website I usually go to google and see which site i can find that best answers all my questions also is copyrighted. I also use websites of writers and journalists of newspapers. If I use a site that I don’t know I look online to make sure everything on the site in correct.

Usually, to find a reliable web site I google the topic I was looking for. Then if the site has information that I have not seen before, then I look at a few more web sites to see if they say the same thing. What are the odds that a bunch of consecutive sites will have the same wrong information, right?

I search either google or google news for all of my blogs. I don't know for sure that all the information is honest and ethical but I chose a site that seems the most realistic.

It suggests that you look at the visuals that are a sign to whether it is a good source or not.
 

When I am looking for a site for any type of information, I usually search google. Really, you can never know if a site you find is giving you real information. But when google gives me a couple of sites after I search, I look at the first few and see if they have a similarity in facts. If they do, that makes me trust whichever one I choose a little more.

1. I usually go onto a news website... usually cnn.com... if nothing pops out to me from it then I go to yahoo or google and search the topic.

2. Well, if I go from cnn.com, then that is an international news site, so it's pretty much well trusted.

4. A website should tell you when it was last updated (both date and time if possible). Frequently updated and current information can be very important and even essential.

Ok when i need information i ususally use google or dogpile but im not sure if the web sites that come up are official or not. This is a website that i use:

So I got that thorough Google? You should look through the Criteria for evaluating posted second by Alex because it basically shows you if the information is true or not. Though one of these days people are just going to post false information and have all the needed thingies on it.

I need a nickname. o and sorry im late i got caught up in other matters. anyways generally i just google thing and i choose one of the results that has the words i typed in to search with right to gether (not spread out in the description) any ways i usually read the site and if it sounds right i use it to post with. sorry, i probably should check if its good before i use it, although i do tend to use .org sites over .com ones. and .org are the (usually) educational ones.

I usually find my websites by what i am guessing and read that most people do, i google them. I simply just click the websites google posted and find the one i like best.

My websites sugests to use a firewall that filters out bad websites but that doenst always work so use your instincts. THey say to look for contact numbers for any question, if they have that then usually the are real.
 

I find the websites I post through google. One way I can tell if the information is ethical is if I cant change the information like you can on wikipedia. My website tells you what to look for like the url and domain.
