ok anyways...
If I was a parent I think that the vaccine of gardasil would be a good idea to give to my child. You never know what could go on in the world and it's always better to be safe. I don't think it is a good idea to make it manditory though. Many people don't have the money and it would not be fair to those people.

if i were a parent....i think doing the right thing would be giving the vaccine to my child because it would be saving her life...i agree with kayo and say that it shouldn't be mandatory because some people might not want to just because they cant afford it or its against their religion...but i would definitely give it to my child...

Ok...well if I were a parent, I would definitely agree to having my child receive the vaccine. Any oppurtunity to make and keep my child healthy would be a great idea in my book. I also think that this vaccine should be mandatory. In my opinion it would be more beneficial in the end to pay the expense, and possibly end up bettering your health.

I think if I were a parent I would think gardasil would be something I would want my child to have. However, making people have gardisal is not a good idea. Many families cannot afford over $300 dollars to spend on vaccine. I think that if they want to make the vaccine mandatory the government should pay for people getting it.

i think that it's so great that they were able to develop a vaccine that can prevent something as serious as cervical cancer. and i think that it's really importatnt that girls recieve it. If I were a parent, I would want my daughter to recieve the vaccine. I don't feel the need to make the vacination mandatory, but i would recommend it. Especially since it is most effective before sexual activity. On the other hand, I do understand why some parents are opposed to the vacination, because HPV is only contracted through sexual activity.

If i were a parent,i would think that the mandatory vaccine was a good idea.Most children hate shots.and probably wouldnt get it on their own.The only problem i can see would be the price of the Gardasil,but it would still be worth it

If I was a parent I think this would definately be a no brainer. I no that i would probably trust my child alot, but i rather be safe than sorry. Aids is such a serious and sad thing. I think it is so great that it is becoming a key issue and that it is getting alot of attention, because it definately deserves it!!!
Yes, I agree that it might be a bit expensive for some families....I mean it might come down to food or gardasil-as important as it is...you have to make a call.
I totally agree with matman-if it is so important the government should be taking care of the cost. I dont think the government would be so thrilled with that suggestion, so lets make a compromise. How about the free bee would be based on your family's income....sounds good to me!!!
I see no reason that someone would not want this-its saving lives...especially if it is free.
It is important...and definitely $360 worth...think about it...

If I were a parent, I would be okay with the use of gardasil because it would save lives and I am all for that. If it was a mandatory vaccine, I think it would be fine because, if its going to work you need to get everyone vaccinated.

well anyways,
if i was a parent i think giving my child gardasil would be a good idea. i would be preventing the disease before my child even becomes open to it. as for it becoming a manditory vaccine, i believe it would be a good idea to make it manditory because the disease would decrease alot, but im sure it would arise many controversies about finances, religious aspects and other things like that, like kayo and poison said. and like e.r said, it would be better in the end. you would probably thank yourself for doing it.

If I was a parent, I would definitely agree with giving my child the gardasil. Better safe than sorry, right? If I gave my child the vaccine though, I wouldn't tell them what it was for, as this could encourage them to become sexually active. They might be under the impression that with this vaccine, they couldn't get an STD, which isn't true.
I don't think the gardasil should be mandatory. Many people would not be able to afford it and might be against getting the vaccine, due to moral beliefs, religious reasons, etc.

if i were a parent.. the fact that id need to have my child get vaccinated with something against hpv would scare me... but i think that gardasil would be worth it. many things go on in the world and contracting such a virus is sometimes not even your fault. so, i would allow my child to receive gardasil.

as far as making these vaccinations manditory, i think that it's a good idea, but as other people said, not everyone can afford this. and if you were to only vaccinate half of the girls for example because the other half couldnt afford it, im sure it would be reducing the overall effects of taking gardisal. .. just as it does if you only vaccinate girls and not boys. if it were to be manditory, I think that all children(boys and girls) should be required to take it. for all that money,, you might as well make it worthwhile and have the prevention level as high as it can get.

I would want to make my child have a vaccination. She might be hiding secrets, and even if she's not, it's better to be safe than sorry. If it's mandatory though, it could start revolts. Some people can't afford it, some don't want it, and some just don't care.
 

ok, i agree with almost everyone above me with the idea of encouraging people to get it and also giving it to my child. It is a great idea, most parents don't know some of the stuff we do...gardisal is just a precaution and as other people say it is better to be safe than sorry. For the whole entire issue with boys and girls getting it...i think if it was made mandatory it should be for both genders.
