I think the stem cells will definitely help people, sure there are some consequences but they are nothing compared to what is gained. I don't think using embryos is considered murder because first of all, they are only half human and they don't really have a conscience yet.

NOTE- I am having problems publishing the link. I will get it on ASAP. Embryos are not considered human, especially if they're not fertilized. If there is a possibility to cure diseases like cancer, diabete, and Alzheimer's, wouldn't any of you take it? There is no living thing being killed for this research. Besides the fact, even if the human embryos ARE alive, there is no need to take an embryo. The video, and you Mr. Johnson, states clearly that the human cell can be any type. If there's a chance, and i believe there is, to cure things thought to be uncureable, then stem cell research is completely justified.

I think that mixing human embryos and cow or rabbit embryos is another great idea for our research towards curing diseases like Parkinson's. I believe that this research will bring more hope to the Americans with such diseases. This is a great idea and i hope the scientists studying this will come through and be able to make a drug for such incurable diseases.
i think that mixing the human and animal embryos is a good idea, to help the research in Parkinson's disease. This could possibly help all victims, and despite the consequences, there will undoubtedly be a positive outcome.
good work !

just to clarify one point... to be an embryo (in traditional non-cloning situations) you must be fertilized.
remember to post your links !

i think that mixing the cow and human components is great because is will help people who have genetic defects. I dont think that it matters that we are mixing the two if you think about it there both mamals lol , but i think its great in order to find treatment and cures for the genetic defects and diseases. I think that more will be gained rather than lost.

I support the idea of using stem cell research. The use of stem cells is a cuicial part of the process of treating and reversing degenerative and crippling diseases. The idea of fusing an animal egg with Human DNA is a wonderful idea. This is one of many ways to work around the idea of killing an embryo to extract the stem cells. All of this research will benefit the long run of science.

I believe that a hybrid embryo is a great idea. This research will offer exciting possibilities for understanding incurable diseases such as Parkinson's disease. Since an embryo isn't considered an organism from weeks 2-8 after fertilization, there should be no reason for Pro-life activists to protest against this new research.

I think that Britain made a wise decision, allowing stem-cell research. The embryos from the cows are not fertilized. Therefore, they only contain genetic material in them. So, I don't see where the problem is with removing that genetic material and placing human skin cells in the embryo. Thousands and thousands of people, like Brian Lymbery on the video clip are suffering from Parkinson's disease. To save these people from experiencing excrutiating pain, the government should be promoting these stem-cell research funds.

I'm all for it! If you had a chance to cure some one of a disease such as Parkinson's, why not take it?! Sure, like everything else in the world, there are some downsides to it. But, between saving a life and not even bothering to try, I go for saving someone!!!

I think stem cell research will help people but, i also think that killing fetuses is wrong 2. In this animal hybrid thing, i thinkthat its a great idea to cure diseases but knowing most scientists, they r going to blow it out of proportion and say that they were helping us. Anyway in the video it said that they need a cell, not a fertilized egg. they said a skin cell, i hink in the video. All they need is the DNA.
I'm doing this again because I didn't do the html last time...

I think that combining the embryos is a good idea because if scientists could find a cure for serious diseases that affect people's everyday lives. I do not think that this is something that pro life activists should be against because it has the ability to help a lot of people.

i think that this is totally awesome!! i don't think that taking the embryo is really hurting anything that badly, and we're helping people feel better...so rock on scientists.
i think that when we find cures and make advances in medicine, people will be happy that it was ok'd
i really hope this helps in a major area like cancer, because that is just one of the absolute worst things to go through. i can't wait to read about how this helps people.

I think that using these stem cells will help us to solve the problem. Even know there are consequences it will help us gain more than we lose. I think that they should be allowed to use these HUman Embryos.

I believe that if it will help cure illnesses like cancer or Parcensins that it is a great Idea. Like if they use a rabbit that to missing of a few rabbit embryos that it wouldn't be a big deal. If this helps save lives and make people live there life likea normal person I believe that this is a good thing.

I think it is a bad idea. Life begin when the egg is fertilized and techinally it is a human embryo. I am not entirely sure it will work. It is totally wrong to kill a baby embryo for any purpose. The definition of an embryo is "the young of a viviparous animal, esp. of a mammal, in the early stages of development within the womb, in humans up to the end of the second month" meaning it has to be alive. I do not believe that this is a good idea.

In my opinion Britain's new research technology is brilliant as long as no living, or partially living fetuses are involved. Even so i still believe that being to cure diseases such as Parkinson's or even cancer which has been a known on going challenge would be amazing. But the question of when does life begin is still there, because if we are creating an embryo that could become life, then we are ending a life. Or what if scientists take it a step further to create some freaky cow-man? They could potentially create an entirely new species, or just deformed creatures of life. I am not completely cure of what my opinion is. Curing diseases that have been a challenge for decades isn't imaginable, but killing small life forms might be going too far. If they did go as far as to make a new creature of cow or rabbit/human creatures i would be completely against though.

I think that mixing human and animal embryos are a good idea to help find a solution to Parkinson's disease. I don't think this is murder or anything like that because its just a study to help human life not hurt it.

I support the idea of creating human-animal hybrid embryos. I believe that no matter how vulgar we find this concept, it has extraordinary implications. With the possibility to accomplish so much, such as finding the cures of many diseases, I believe it is worth the fight to pursue this idea. Even though many might be disgusted by the thought of human-animal embryos, there is no genetic material included in the hybrid cell. Also we are not “killing” living embryos as they would be too young at the time they would be investigated. Therefore, I support the research of these new hybrid embryos.

I think that mixing human and animal embryos is a good idea. These combinations help research in Parkinson's disease. I think that if the correct combination is made, all victims of Parkinson's disease could be helped. I think that a lot could be gained from this research.

I believe that using these hybrids will benefit us in our disease knowledge and that much more could be accomplished than could be diminished.
Here is a web site that agrees with me.
I also believe that I should have a catchy nickname. ;)

I am undecided on the argiement of stem cell research.I believe that the use of stem cells is helpful for people with alzheimer disease or cystic fibrosis. This research can one day heal these harmful and dreadful diseases. It is illegal in almost every country because it kills a fetus it helps a diseased person which I think is wrong.

I think that it is a good idea to use human and animals embryos to help eliminate sereval serious diaseses. If these cells can save people's lives then why not use them. Hopefully scientists will be able to find cures to diseses that, they say, can can possible be eliminated due to the cells research.
