wow 5 earths if everyone lived like me and 15% of productive land and sea were preserved. my eco footprint is 8 hectares or 19.768 acres. i was very supprised by this. i am going to try to do alot better with being green. the austrailian average was 10 hectares or 24.71 acres. average for the people in the world was 2.5 hectares or 6.1775 acres. i already know that after life i want to be buried green Green Burial
 

About 6 hectares would be needed to keep my present carbon lifestyle. The average footprint for Australians is about 10 hectares and for all people in the world it is about 2.5 hectares. I was not surprised by the results because i believe that i could do more to help reduce global warming. I could start walking to school everyday!

My footprint is about 7 hectares, so we'd need 6 EARTHS to live like me!!! Wow.Even though the Australian average is 10 hectares, I feel really bad because the world average is 2.5. I'm going to try making less trash and taking shorter showers. All that good stuff. :)

It said that I would need 9 hecatres. I was actually surprise to see that I am below the average American and Australian, so that was a good thing. I was not really that surprised by the amout of non-sustainable life that i live in. I knew that I would bre pretty high,but I didn't think I would be high than the average American, which was true.

I chose this website because it can show you many usful bits of information. Many people like animals, and this site shows you all the animals in danger because of people who are detsroying the environment. I believe that there is one easy thing every one can do to help save the enviornment...Recycle.

No I wasn't. The USA has many luxeries like cars, airplanes, electricity, and proccesed goods that other countries do not.

I had 8 hectares and Australia had an average of 10 hectares.

I can take the buss for school. I can also get more apliances that use energy efficiant metheds.

3. For my household, we produce about 80 tons of CO2 eq/yr. The national average for the US is 160 so my house is 50% better. I produce about 11 tons of CO2 eg/yr. The national average for the US is 27 tons of CO2 eq/yr, so I am about 60% better.

I like this organization because it is all about preserving the forests and wildlife.

5. You could walk or ride your bike somewhere instead of take a car. You could recycle bottles, glass, paper, and anything else. You could unplug appliances when they are not in use.

I would need 3 earths to keep my present carbon lifestyle. I was surprised when I saw what my footprint was. This helped me realize how much more I could do to help reduce global warming. I could help to reduce my carbon footprint by unpluging appliances when I am done with them, taking shorter showers and turning off lights (more frequently)when I do not need them.

This did shock me in a way. i did not think that i used this much energy. to me it is a upseting how much we waste natural resources. i think everybody should be more aware of our surroundings.

taking a stand

I chose this link because it shows that some cities (ie. san fransisco) are trying to do what they can to save the enviroment. i think it is a good example to follow because if all cities do this then less resources would be wasted. Something i could do to lessen my carbon footprint is to spend less time on the computer and turn off the lights when i leave the room. if everyone did this or something like it then we could save our environment.

I was somewhat surprised at this because i knew that i wasn't an energy saver recycling save the world kinda person, but I never would've thought that I was this bad. Comparing to australians, they would need 10 hectares and the average for the world was 2.5 hectares. I chose this site, smart growth online because it has many interesting and convenient ways to preserve land areas and make the earth last. It also has contact information and a calendar with different events that the public can attend. As an individual, I can try not to take as long of showers, not eat food that contains preservatives, use more energy saving light bulbs and appliances, and shut off lights and switches that have been left on.

I didn't find any organizatio that looked exciting on Google, but I know Al Gore certainly does his part. I have to try to save electricy more and take shorter showers.

i chose the nature conservancy. they already protected 117 million acres of land and 5000 miles of river. they are also around the whole world in over 30 countries.
i can take shorter showers and turn off lights when i live a room.

I would need 9 worlds. I produce about 16 hectares. I wasnt very suprised. I actually thought i might of been worse. But i should really like try to change it. I had about 14 hecatares more than the average person.

After taking the quiz, I found out that we would need about 7 earths if everybody lived like I do. I was sort of shocked because I didn't think I was THAT bad about conserving energy and stuff. I think that some of the changes I will make will be unplugging things like microwaves and straigthens after I use them. I will also try to carpool with some of my friends because my family uses the car A LOT each day. I was higher than the natinal Austrailian average which I was also surprised about. I chose the website about recycling because I think that it is an easy thing to do that can really help our environment. Redycling asks for very little from people, but it adds up.
 

My carbon footprint is 4 hectares or 9.884 acres. If 15% of productive land and sea were preserved, and everyone had the same carbon footprint as me, there would need to be 2 earths. Although this is a generally low footprint, there would still need to be another earth. This is a problem because we only have one earth to use. Compared to the australian average of 10 hectares(24.71 acres), my footprint is low, but the world average is 2.5 hectares(6.1775 acres) which makes mine look large. To lessen my carbon footprint, I could do many small things such as unplug appliances, change out all of my regular light bulbs and switch to energy saving ones, etc.

I didn't think i was so harmful to the environment before doing this. To reduce my carbon footprint, I could conserve more house electricity, take shorter showers, and recycle more.

Sustainable Environment Research Grouop is a new group that researches environmental preservation and resource management. I choose this group because their goal is to find a way to be environment healthy while working with technolgy, industry and government.
 

It took about two earths(3 hectares) to keep my carbon lifesyle. I was suprised because i thought it would be a lot more but we do have a lot of energy efficient appliances at my house.The Australian average is about 10 hectares while mine is about three. Carbonfund is an organization that is helping to preserve the environment. I chose this organiztion because it had so many ideas that arent hard to use that will preserve lots of energy. To reduce my footprint I could use more carbon free products, reduce the amount of my trash, and to try to start conserving water.

I chose this organization, because they are non-profit, nongovernmental organization, that chooses above all, to help preserve wildlife and cultures of islands around the world. Island ecosystems are becoming smaller and smaller because islands are big tourist spots and forests are now being covored in hotels or vacationing resorts. Choosing to do this, especially without any governmental help takes some guts.
 

srry im a little late with the comment. I was really suprised when it said i would need 11 hectacre to support my lifestyle. i needed one more hectare then the austarlian average. One thing i could do to reduce my carbon footprint would be to conserve energy by using energy efficeint items.

I'm so so soo sorry about how late this is!! My ecological footprint is about 10 hectares and the average footprint for australians is the same. The world's average is 2.5 though. I require 6 earths!! I'm not all that surprised about my ecological footprint. I mean i could start conserving more energy.
