Biology Is Life !

Hey its tink. I think that this is an awesome thing that these cities are doing. If we saveed so much energy last year by doing this we are gonna save so much more this year. doing this is something it that will really help the enviroment. 1 hour to save the world. and when you watch the video it says all of these celebrities and people that are doing this like nelly Furtado and Fall out Boy it is nice to know that they care too. So i would participate today but i am babysitting and its kinda hard to watch a kid in the dark. but if i was home i so would.
 

I think this is such a great idea and a really great way to get people to realize how much energy we do use and waste. Climate change has effected so many things in such drastic ways and i think its really sad. I'm not gonna be home between 8-9 but i will definetly tell my parents to keep the lights off.
 

WOW, this is an excellent ideaa!!! The video was quite imformative also and it impressed me massive amounts. What stood out at me the most was the fact they said about the amount of energy decreasing by 10% in australia after turning the lights off for an hour. I also like that they threw this little fact in for us to understand exactly the impact it has: Turning the lights off for an hour was like taking 48,000 cars off the road!!! That is sooo amazing. I totally support this becasue we need to start saving energy or else earth will be in for a major wake up call in a billion years or soo. Well, like amanda said i will not be home @ 8, but i told my parents and they were already informed about this move! And they will be more thn willing to do it!!!
 

I think this is step in the right direction in helping the planet. I think we nead to stop reling on the energy we use and find some that is safe towards are planet. I would participate but i am not going to be home.

I am going to say what i think anyways because i am stubborn.

I think that this is a great idea and i wish i could have read the blog earlier, not only for extra credit but so that i could participate. It is a huge deal that all these lights were shut off around the world because we conserved a lot of energy and we did it together.
I think that one day this should be a monthly thing. I am not sure if that is possible for cities and corporations to do, but if we could save this much energy in one hour in a year, imagine twelve hours.
It is truly amazing that almost entire cities shut off their lights to show that they cared about the world. What is even more amazing is that people did this all over the world. From different cultures, religions, ethnic groups, countries, and CONTINENTS. People all over the world did something as simple as turning off their lights for and hour to preserve energy to help our world.
