I would give the scientist the kidney for transplant.
I found the choice very difficult, as all four potential recipients were very “important” to their family, society, etc. yet they all were not perfect. I chose not to allow the boxer to receive the organ because it was unknown whether his death would also affect others as was the case with the single father. I withheld the kidney from the father because his alcoholism most likely caused the kidney failure in the first place. The risk that he would resume his habits and render another organ useless was too great for me to allow him to have that chance. This brings us to the final decision: the child, which has unlimited potential, or the scientist who has already proven to be very beneficial to the human race but is very old. Although it is mentioned that the child does not have any other medical problems, I find the fact that she suffered organ failure at such a young age suspicious. It might even warn of a deadlier condition that might affect her later in life. The scientist on the other hand, has been very healthy and most likely had a very healthy lifestyle.
In the end, this was my reasoning. The chance that the scientist will cure cancer ≈ 1 in a billion (due to difficulty of the subject + age…). The number of lives the scientist will save ≈ 1 billion. That means you could look upon it as she will definitely save one life.
The girl has a one in a billion chance of becoming as successful, or more, as the doctor. If this occurs, the girl will save one billion lives, resulting in a definite gain of one life.
Under normal circumstances, I would say that because the child’s possibilities are endless she should receive the transplant. However, with the possibility of a cure for cancer at stake, I had to chose the scientist.

I chose to give the kidney to the child, because she was the recipient with the least amount of drawbacks. She has no other health problems, so she should lead a normal life if she gets the transplant successfully. She also has her whole life ahead of her, as opposed to the other possible recipients, who are either older or have already messed up something in their life, so, frankly they are bound to do it again. Also, sice I cannot assume anything not included in the bio, I couldn't say that the single father would have someone else to take care of his kids, or that the athlete's HIV was in an early stage and he still has a long time to live. Admittedly, these factors made it harder for me to make my descision, but I still almost immediately decided not to give the athlete the kidney, because even though I cannot assume what stage the HIV is in, the truth is that he will die anyway sooner or later. I also decided relatively quickly not to give the kidney to the scietist, because even though she is "on the verge of curing cancer", people have been saying that for years, and we still don't have a cure. Also, in addition to the fact that she is old, someone else could pick up her studying if she died. That left the man and the child, and the only reason that the man was left was his three children. But, his alcoholism ruined it for him, because he is likely to have a relapse, and that could very well kill him. So, the girl got the transplant.This site shows pros and cons of transplant.
 

I found the scientist to be the best recipient for the kidney transplant. The scientist has the potential to save hundreds of millions of lives while the others, although important, represent only themselves. The scientist even though she is older than the others has the most important information to give to the rest of the world. Even with the chance that she doesn't find the cure it is still worth the risk for what you might get in return. The scientist is the best choice because she is not only being saved herself, but giving hope to many others too.
The boxer or famous athlete does not get my vote because of the risk you would take on him. With him already having the disease HIV he would still not be a healthy candidate for a new kidney. Even if his kidney problem was fixed he would more than likely contract another illness through the course of his life because of his lacking immune system.

I would give the child the kidney available for transplant. This decision was very close between the child of 7 and the single dad. This decision was very hard because of my personal experience with transplants. My father had a liver transplant,and if he did not have the transplant I would not have had a father for all but 3 years of my life. I would also not have the two younger brothers that I have today, in other words my life would be totally different. For these reasons I strongly considered the single father. This man made some wrong choices in his life (alcoholism)though, which probably caused the kidney failure or problems in the first place, which is the main reason why I chose the child. I don't really want to punish the man for what he did because he is trying to change, but the child has barely lived at all and did not even get her chance. The child is not a sure choice, in that she will become a successful person,but maybe because of her experience she will try to make the best of her life. The child will have the chance, whether she takes it or not to do something with her life.

I believe that the father deserves the kidney. Although he is a recovering alchoholic, he is the father of 3 children. If he dies, the lives of those 3 children could be destroyed. They might be split up at an orphange. The father himself might stay clean because the fact that he was picked to live over the 3 other candidates.
Although the scientist is on the verge of curing cancer, there is no guarantee that she will. Within the 48 hours she has to live, she can pass all of her findings on and have a team of well trained scientists continue her work.
The athelete wouldnt recieve hte kidney if it was up to me. He already has HIV which means his life is limited. It would be a waste to give him the kidney if he is already suffering and will eventually die of HIV.
The little girl was the hardest candidate to rule out. She is very young and doesnt deserve to die. Although she doesn't have any past medical problems, early organ failure could lead to other problems in the future. I wouldnt give her the kidney because of the possibility that she has another diease that could kill her.

I believe that the father deserves the kidney. He seems like he’s at a good age to receive this transplant He is also responsible for three young children. The children will always need a father. No kind of orphanage can replace someone’s father. The father is also a recovering alcoholic. This kidney transplant will probably continue to motivate him since he was fortunate enough to receive the kidney. If the father dies, the children will be separated and face a traumatic event and could devastate their lives. I feel the scientist really shouldn’t deserve the kidney only because she lived her entire life. She also says that “she’s on the verge” of curing cancer, but what does being on the verge actually mean. It could mean another 20 years of research. There is still a chance that she is completely wrong on the case as well. In the case she is on the right path, she should have noted it better.

I believe that the boxer should receive the kidney. Although the boxer has other medical problems I think he is the most worthy. Since his age is 28 he will be in his prime and therefore medically his would be able to go through the things necessary for the kidney. Also, since he is a famous athlete he could inspire more people to donate kidneys after he got his. Therefore, I think the the boxer would be a great candidate for the kidney. Especially, because then he could save more lives with fundraising and devout fans donating kidneys. I wouldn't choose the child because she is so young and her body isn't really developed completely and she would probably die from infection and still won't do anything with her life. I wouldn't pick the scientist because she is brittle and her notes for the cancer cure could definitely be used by others to find the cure. I also wouldn't pick the alcoholic because even though he has young kids he's rich so the children would be better off especially if he was a mean drunk. I feel the scientist deserves the kidney transplant, because she has worked hard enough in her life on ways to cure the billions of peole that are diagnosed with cancer. Although she may seem old to many, she has placed herself in a postion which is so valuable to other lives, the world is in desperation of her assistance. The child, the boxer, and the recovering alcholicic all have important reasons that pertain to why they deserve this kidney. But, the child is most likely to have more problems in her system that could ruin the kidney. The boxer, self explanatory is most likely to disable the kidney to the extent where he will be beaten, by his opponent. In by doing so, his blood can be transmitted to those around him, causing them to also recieve, HIV. The father nonetheless most likely lost his kidney due to his alcholism, a very serious disease. Many people in the world have stress and pressure in their everyday life, there is no reason for using alchol as a "relaxation device." He obviously did not care too much about his life in the first place since he decided to ruin his life in doing so. It is difficult to decifer between the four patients, but in situations like these it is appropiate to put your feelings to the side, and choose between who is most likely going to make a difference in life, for example curing cancer, or who may just be there as another pedestrian. Therefore, my reasoning on choosing the scientist, is due to the evaluation that she will most likely affect the world in a positive manner. She will save billions of lives. She has the ability to use her knowledge to reach beyond means of an average Joe. She, although may be a senior does not affect the ideas that she, as a whole will cure billions of infected humans.

I think the kidney should go to the child. She might be young and not understand life but people need to give her a chance. All the other recipients have been able to live their life while the child has not. The kidney failure could warn of other diseases but it might not. To chose which one should get the organ transplant have to take a risk and I feel that you risk less chosing the little girl.
One of the first people I decided not to chose was the single father. He was an alcoholic and that could have damaged his body even more. Money does not bring you happiness but his children will be taken care off. You don't know if he was a good father or not. Also he might have a relapse and damage his body more.

I think, of the four potential people i could give the kidney too, i would choose the little girl. I would give it to the little girl for several reasons. One in particular, is because ... well, she is only a LITTLE GIRL. everyone says, the children are our future, so there we go. She has yet to experience the things that the other three have. She deserves a shot at life, to be able to enjoy it. Putting everything aside, alcoholism, aids, family, etc, if you look at that little girl, she has yet to live the life that every other one of the potential transplant receivers have. I wouldn't give the kidney to any of the other potential recievers because of the simple that fact, whether in their lifetime they became an alcholic, became infected with aids, became a bad father, or even became so close to curing cancer its ridiculous, despite all of that, every single one of them did something with there life, and in one particular time or another, they enjoyed their lives. The little girl deserves the same shot everyone else did. Although, i am not saying that the others don't deserve the kidney, i am just stating that because of her age, she deserves it MORE, because of the simple fact that she has yet to truly LIVE her life. Whether she becomes a raging heroin addict and a nuisance to our society, or SHE finds the cure to cancer, no matter the outcome, she deserves to life a life, that all of the others got to live.

I believe that the kidney should go to the father. I think this because although he was an alchoholic, he has to watch out for his three children. If he died then his kids could be split up and their lives would get even worse. Even though he's rich, his kids might even be too young to get the money because they aren't responsible yet. He is 40 which is not too young or old for getting the kidney. He also would probobly be more inspired to quit drinking if he knew that three other people died so that he could live. I didn't chose the boxer because although i DON'T think any of these people should die, his death might make people realiz how much kidneys are needed and then they might donate theirs. I didn't pick the scientist bacause if she is REALLY on the verge of curing cancer than she can either pass on her notes or cure it in the next 48 hours. Lastly, the child might have more diseases and the kidney might not even work very well for her because she is so young and small.

I would give the kidney to the seven year old girl. I did not choose her for any scientific or mathematical reason, but because I have a seven year old sister. I would never want my little sister to die or kidney failure, and I can't even imagine the pain her family would go through, the fact that their daughter died at such a young age. I feel that the younger girl is the most likely to make a full recovery because she is so early in her life. The child doesn't know the meaning of life yet, and I feel if she knew that she had been picked over three other people to live, she would try to live her life to the fullest. I did not choose the 74 year old scientist as the candidate, because even though she is on the verge of discovering cancer, there is that off chance that she will not discover it, and she is going to die soon anyway. I didnt choose the boxer because he is HIV positive, and sadly, he isnt healthy to begin with. I didnt choose the 48 year old recovering alcoholic because all his drinking probably damaged his other organs anyway, and I feel the kidney would not go to a good cause.

Out of the four options, I would choose the scientist as the most elligibe for a kidney transplant. Based on the given facts, she sounds like she had worked the hardest and the most sincere life. While considering the fact that it is a possibility to save thousands and thousands of lives, I also look at another aspect. Unlike the boxer and 40-year old man, she has never"messed up" in her life either intentionally or not intentionally. If she has another chance to live her life tro the fullest, she will be the only one to actually complete a succesful life. It is also hard if you have been working toward your goal for your whole life and then you abandon it when you are one step away from that goal. If she is given the transplant, she will feel a sense of achievement in her life. I don not believe the 40-year old man should recieve the transplant for a number of reasons. First of all, he already made a horrible decision by starting to drink. He not only scarred his life, but his families life as well. Giving him a transplant does not convince me that he will live a proper and better life. The boxer with HIV probably won''t have a chance of surving the disease and therefore I would not give him the transplant either.

I believe the scientist should receive the kidney. I think if she receives the kidney, she could find the cure to cancer. Even if she could pass her written notes on to another scientist, there could be logic that she didn't get the chance to record. If she's that close to finding the cure, I think she should get the chance. I think by saving her life, many more lives could be saved. She may be 74, but she could still have many years left in her life if she receives the kidney. I think saving her life would be better for society. I don't think the child should receive the kidney. If her kidney failed at such a young age, there is a higher chance that she will have kidney failure again in her life. I believe that the young girl should recieve the organ transplant. Even though she is just that, a young girl, who are we to say she doesn't yet have a concept of life. Imagine yourself, or your brother or sister as a little seven-year-old. Now, would you say that they don't understand life at all? I'm not saying she can completely explain the politics or high-level calculus, but in time, she could. I think she should be given that chance. I also think that even though she's had kidney failure at a very early age, that doesn't necessarily imply that she will have other medical problems. I did not choose the recovering alcoholic because alcoholism causes many medical problems that can go unnoticed for years after they're off the wagon. Even though the boxer could be at the top of his career, boxing is a very risky sport, and injury to his kidney is a definite possibility. I was very torn between the scientist and the little girl, but i didn't choose the scientist becaus she has already had an obviously fulfilled life, and has made a clear mark on the world of science.

I would give the kidney to the famous boxer, for a transplant.

This boxer is positive for HIV, but I do not think that it should make his chances any less than the other candidates. Professionaly this man is a fighter, and so symbolically I believe that he won't let HIV ruin or end his life. To be an athlete means to be fit and healthy. This shows that this candidate wont waste what he is given; in terms of a new organ. The boxer is 28 years old. To tell him h is going to die is absurd. He is at a prime age to begin living, not die.

As for the other candidates, I have reasons for not chosing them.

The scientist: She has lived a long life. The scientist states she is on the verge of finding the cure for cancer, but this claim has been stated for years and years.

The father: He is a recovering alcoholic. He is probably damaged in some way from his past drinking. Yes he has kids, but he also has money. His kids will be well off until they can recover from thier loss. Also, people who drink often have problems whether it be stress or dpression. Telling him he is going to die may be a saving grace.

The child: This little girl has already developed an internal failure. I believe that this may be the start of a hard medical future for her. Also, she doesn't really have a concept of life yet, or what living really means. She also doesn't understand death, so it wont be hard for her to pass on. Giving her a kidney might not even change her life. In years to come, she could likely waste it.

I would choose to give the kidney to the little girl!!

I would choose the little girl because i think that she is the perfect candidate. The reason why is because she hasn't grown up to see the world, and she could grow up to be the next scientist and the finder of cancer. In addition, she has experienced the concept of life yet, so I think that she should have a chance to see the world and what life consists of. Also, she is the next generation of the world, so she needs to be kept on the face of the earth. Further more, she could also be the next president of the world.

I would not give the kidney to the scientist is because her organs are going to be shutting down with in her next couple of years, so she is out of the picture. The boxer is out the picture because he has HIV, which can be transmitted through blood, whci hthe doctor doing the transplant could have a cut on his hand and the blood can siepe through his suit. And the alcoholic is out of the picture is because he is a living time-bomb. That means that he could DUI and kill not only someone, but somebody else, too. Also, putting the kidney in his body could alsobe a stupid point because he could die of liver failure.

If I had to choose between the four recipiants I would choose the father. I would choose him because even though he is a recovering alcoholic his children still need him. If he died his three children might be seperated and then they would have no one. Also he is 40 so he would probably make a good recovery after the surgery. I would choose to give the child the kidney. She would be the best candidate because she is young and hasnʼt had a true chance at life. At age seven, she hasnʼt had a real ʽtasteʼ of the world she has done nothing majorly wrong that has affected her life. If she is told that she was given another chance at life or a chance for a longer life, the child may value her life more than another would have. She could try harder than most to reach her full potential and could live life to its fullest. Since she is still young and she has no medical problems, her body would be more likely to adapt to the kidney. When I considered the other candidates, I almost immediately decided to not choose the boxer. Although he is at a good age (being a young adult) and most likely willing to fight for his life, I think that because the boxer has HIV, there could be complications and a higher risk and if there was an infection in the process of recovering, his body wouldnʼt be strong enough to fight it off. Also, considering the boxerʼs career, there are more risks of injury in boxing. Why should the kidney be risked if it could go to another candidate who had a better chance at ʽpreservingʼ the kidney? In all, I would choose the child because of her potential if she received the kidney and got another chance at life.
 

If I were in a position to choose who would be the most worthy of the kidney transplant, I would pick the seven-year-old girl. She seems to be the best contestant to be the recipient of the transplant mainly because of her age. She already is faced with the depressing and miserable issue of having lost a kidney, and deserves to live a long life just as well as anyone else. It is devastating to have to go through major surgery, but even more so to die. If I were in her position, I would be extremely afraid and depressed.
When I first looked at the people’s situations, I initially chose the 74-year-old woman on the verge of finding the cure for cancer. After contemplating the circumstances, however, I thought that perhaps another scientist or student could probably find the cure to cancer using her notes. I also thought that she might have been able to find the cure in the last 48 hours of her life, considering she was on the verge of finding the cure. As long as enough research was documented, a solution could be found. The boxer seemed to have lived a longer life than the girl, and so did the father.

I believe that the scientist should recieve the kidney. She has worked really hard in her life. She has almost found the cure for cancer. Anyone could just read her notes and try to figure it out,but she might have it in her head. When she finds the cure, she will save millions of lives. She may be the oldest of the four candidates. but she is the wisest.
I did not choose the boxer because he is HIV positive and that may have already been affecting his body. And because of his disease, his body not accept the kidney even if it matches the right requirements. I did not choose the single father becuase he is a former alcoholic and some of his other organs may be ruined due to the drinking. He could go back to drinking and that would damage the kidney. I did not choose the little girl because she is young. If she has this one issue with the kidney, then she will probally develop other issues. She is young and her body is still growing and I'm not sure how she will be in the future.

I wouldn't want the other three people to die, but if there was no other choice I think the transplant should go to the little girl. Thsi si partially because she is the youngest and has the least problems. This girl is just seven years old and her body is still growing which allows it to adapt to changes better than adults. She is also the only person there who has yet to finish college. This girl deserves to see the outside world, to grow up, and have all those first experiences that the other adults have had. What she does with her life is up to her, but at least she would have a chance. She also has parents who would be devastated to find out that she wouldn't get the transplant. All every parent wants for their child is to be succesful and happy in life which would only be possible with the tranasplant. Whereas, the others have all become succesful in their own way: The scientist is on the verge of curing cancer, the boxer is a famous athlete, and the other man is very wealthy. These adults aren't old enough to die, but certainly have lived longer and had the chance to make something out of their lives.
Many people have claimed to find the cure for cancer so why would this scientist be any different? Even if this was true then she could always give the information to a colleague or trusted individual. The recovering alcoholic man needs this transplant because he damaged them with his drinking. Who's to say that he won't have a relapse and start drinking again? What kind of rolemodel and father would he be to his children? This would only bring more trouble and may even lead to abuse. Since the athlete has HIV, he is basically a ticking bomb. Drugs and medicines can only slow it down, not get rid of it completely. I wouldn't say that he doesn't deserve it, but more like he doesn't need it as his body is basically starting to shut down. So, as you can see in this situation, I think the girl would be the right choice as I find her reasons for living more "valid."

Being the medical transplant coordinator, I find the decision to be very difficult. Every patient is unique and they each have contrasting lifestyles. In the end, I would ultimately choose the 74 year old scientist to have the kidney. She is on the verge of finding the cure of cancer. Although others may argue that she could pass the notes onto another scientist, some scientists have certain traits and abilities that make them unique. By giving her the kidney, she has the chance to continue her research. If she does end up finding the cure for cancer, she'll save millions of lives before she dies. If she doesn’t then she shouldn't have to pass away without accomplishing anything. Also, the scientist deserves a longer life. She has spent most of her life devoted to science and cancer. Noting her determination, she should be rewarded.

I would definitely not choose the boxer. Although we cannot assume how he got HIV positive, we can’t let him off the hook of actually getting the disease. In my opinion, I do not believe people with HIV should box. The exchange of bodily fluids and blood could be dangerous to their opponents. Being a boxer, if he got the kidney, he has a risk of damaging it during a fight.

I would not choose the father for multiple reasons. He may have children, but we do not know their ages, or how they were treated during their childhood. The father could have abused them while he was an alcoholic.

The child’s story was very persuasive. Yes, she is a child, and I agree that she has not experienced most of her life. But because she was diagnosed with kidney failure so early in her lifetime, her body might reject the new kidney. The kidney failure could then lead into another organ failure, where all were the effect of a serious illness. With that said, she will have to suffer MORE than she already is.

I would give the kidney to the child. I think she should recieve it because she has not gotten a chance at life like the rest of the potential recipiants. She is only seven and has not really experienced anything. The other people have at least been able to do something with their lives. Not that the other people were not important, because of course they were, its just that the death of a child is terrible. She does not have any other medical problems and could live a long, healthy life if she gets this transplant. I had a really hard time choosing who to give the transplant to and I am very happy it is not my job. I ended up going with my first instinction of giving it to the girl. I thought about the scientist because if she could cure cancer, that would save many lives. Then again, if she is like the many others who claim to be on the verge of the cure, and she fails, then she is an older woman who does not have as much time left as the little girl does.

if i had to chose between all four patients i would chose the scientist. the scient is on verge of finding the cure for cancer. i have a personal hatred for cancer that has taken the lives of those whom i hold dear to. the number of people that could be saved is this cure uncomparble to the lives of these other patients. the situations is sad but we has a people have to go beyond that. we can't let our emotions control us for the truth. the child is a sad situations but she hasn't expercise the real joy or sadness of life. the boxer as hiv and still can survive with it but he wouldn't be able to box. there would a high risk of transmiting that verus to anyone in the boxing ring. the father of 3 is also a sad situation but he seems to be well oof so hes children should have money to keep them going.it would be hard without that dad but since the dad is a drunk they can survive like that have been most likely doing. I would give the to the child. I believe she deserves the kidney more then the other people. This girl has her whole life a head
of her while everyone else has had a chance to live thier lifes. The scientist does not deserve it more because she can pass her infromation and she may not even find the cure. The father would have been my next choice for the kidney because he does have a family that is relying on him. The child is definatly the most deserving, she has a future probely a devistated family, and she may possiably have many more years a head of her.
 

I would transplant the kidney to the scientist. I chose the scientist as the recipient because to me she had the most purpose in modern day society. If the scientist were to live she can continue her study for the cure of cancer. Giving up the other three lives would seem ruthless, but in terms of numbers, if the cure is verified as valid then the life expectency and many more lives would be saved. The problem with the scientist dying and passing on notes, is that the notes may have all the conceptual theory, but they wouldn't have as much analetical skills as the scientist, so they might not be able carry on with a follow through. The old age may be seen as a bad thing among some people, but the fact that she put the age to knowledge makes up for it. The first people I cancelled out of my transplant list would be the boxer and the drunk father of three. The boxer takes part in a dangerous game and could possibly injure a vital organ. The matter of his HIV didn't seem to matter much to me since it still is treatable. The drunken father who is rich was also denied since his wealth could make up for his absence. As a drunken father he may not have shown as much compassion as he could have to his children, and he could possibly be a bad example to follow. The little girl was a tricky choice but I came down to reasons why I left her out. Okay so wee see the little girl and our first instinct would be sorrow since their age is so small. The dicussions we had in class triggered some ideas that I came up with that verify why she didnt get picked. We predict that if the transplant was given to her she would "live it up" to its fullest. Basing things on probability here the chances of her being the next primary figure today would be slim to none, even with motivation such as the one given. So finally I just picked based on importance which led back to the scientist.

I would give the to the child. I believe she deserves the kidney more then the other people. This girl has her whole life a head of her while everyone else has had a chance to live thier lifes. The scientist does not deserve it more because she can pass her infromation and she may not even find the cure. The father would have been my next choice for the kidney because he does have a family that is relying on him. The child is definatly the most deserving, she has a future probely a devistated family, and she may possiably have many more years a head of her. child get transplant
 

Consider all four people carefully.

The boxer has AIDS. Despite his renowned status at providing jovial entertainment by socking people's teeth out, he has no better contribution to society. He will die of AIDS anyway. Why keep someone alive when he does not represent an idealistic member of society?

The father also has his flaws. An alcoholic, he virtually destroyed his liver after each drinking game. Although he has a family to support, these three kids should do well enough on their father's wealth. They will persevere, as other have before them.

Now, with those taken aside. Let's analyze the two more difficult choices in further detail: the scientist and the child.

The scientist is an old fragile lady, who is on the "verge of finding cancer." Well, we have frequently been "on the verge of finding cancer" many times. Why should this be any different? She will die sooner, anyway. What is stopping her from dying of a heart attack three days after her kidney implantation? Scientists should be able to pick up after her work. We do not have to rely on one particular person to discover everything. Sure Einstein developed the dual nature of light and mass-energy equivalence. But, it was De Broglie who combined the two, by developing the dual nature of matter. We have bright and intelligent people in our society. We do not live in the Dark Ages anymore! We will find a cure for cancer!

This finally leaves the child. Ok, arguments for why this child would need a kidney transplant at such a young age is justified, but think of this from an ethical and rational perspective. As a child, the implant would give her an extra ~70 years of life, compared to the scientist (~4 days). From an ethical standpoint, how could we let a child die? They quintessentially manifest innocence and love. And thus, I choose the child. If we begin to forsake love and innocence, what are we then as human beings?
 

i eould give the scientist the kidney because she could save millions of ives by cureing cancer. i didn't think it was a hard decision, the child hadn't experianced life yet and had nothing to live for because she was too young. her parents and family would probibly be sad but it would probibly be comforting to them to know that her not getting the kidney would save millions of lives. the scientist deserves the kidney, she has devoted her entire career to deveolping a cure for cancer. she is on the verge of findong the cure, while she could write her toughts and notes in a journal it would not be the same. no one would have the samr thought process and would not come to the same conclusions as her.

I think the kidney should go to the child. She might be young and not understand life but people need to give her a chance. All the other recipients have been able to live their life while the child has not. The kidney failure could warn of other diseases but it might not. To chose which one should get the organ transplant have to take a risk and I feel that you risk less chosing the little girl.
One of the first people I decided not to chose was the single father. He was an alcoholic and that could have damaged his body even more. Money does not bring you happiness but his children will be taken care off. You don't know if he was a good father or not. Also he might have a relapse and damage his body more.
