The function of enzymes is to speed up the process in a chemical reaction. It does this without changing itself so it is a catalyst, as well as a protein. An enzyme has an active site to which the substrate will attach itself to when they bump into each other, in the right way, by chance. An enzyme is lock and key specific, it can only be used for a certain substrate, not a wide variety.

The phrase C. Hopkins' CaFe NaCl is an acronym for the vital elements for humans. The C stands for the important element Carbon, which is what humans are composed of. The fast cycling elements are Oxygen, Sodium, Sulfur, and Nitrogen. These elements are abundant within nature. All of these elements are needed for life and if one is removed then you probably won't live.

The stomate and guard cells allow transport of materials in and out of a leaf. They block out things that are not wanted in the leaf and allow others in that could help the leaf in any way. The guard cells are the cells on either side of the stomate (open area). They do the actual process of choosing items to go into the cell. The stomate is just the open area between them that the objects going in and out of the leaf pass through.

On the right side of the heart blood enters the through the inferior vena cava and superior vena cava. It empties oxygen-poor blood from the body into the right atrium. On the left side of the body the pulmonary vein empties oxygen-rich blood from the lungs into the left atrium.

The nucleus in the cell contains most of the cell's genetic material, organized as multiple long linear DNA molecules to form chromosomes and is known as the "control center" of the cell. The mitochondrion is the powerhouse of the cell because it generates ATP. Lysosomes digest excess or worn-out organelles by secreting enzymes.

There are many rolls of the lymphatic system. One of the rolls is to collect and return fluids inside the body, including plasma protein to the blood,
to help maintain fluid balance. Another roll is to defend the body against disease by producing lymphocytes(aka white blood cells). The last main roll is to absorb lipids from the intestine and transport them to the blood.

A blood clot can only happen if all the steps are included. There has to also be platelets, prothrombin, and fibrinogen to start a clot in the blood. First you have to get some sort of wound where the platelets are damaged. This causes the production of thromboplastin, which allows the prothrombin, with the thromboplastin to form thrombin. This requires the use of calcium. The thrombin has a reaction with the fibrinogen and makes fibrin. Fibrin looks a lot like a spider web. This web of fibrin catches anything that might be in your blood and causes a clot.

Three types of white blood cells are memory cells, regulatory T-cells, and cytotoxic T-cells, The job of the memory cells is to remember what kind of antibody was used to kill a specific pathogen so when that pathogen enters the body again the memory cells can detect it and know what kind of anitbodies to make. The job of the regulatory T-cell is to regulate the immune system. They shut down T-cells towards the end of its life cycle and eliminate T-cells that escaped negative selection in the thymus. The job of the cytotoxic T-cells is to destroy virally infected cells and tumor cells.

Im not realy sure which question to answer Hj's or Alexis's so ill answer both Three differences between inorganic and organic compounds ar that organics contain hydrocarbon while inorganics do not. Inorganic compounds are also aple to comprise of metal while organics cannot and organic compounds are created by living things inorganic compounds are formed by the forces of nature or human intervention in nature.

To answer conners question, the binominal nomenclature. This process of taxonomy was invented by Carolus Linneaus a Swede. The first name, both in latin would be its genus and then second its the species. The orgamisms would be grouped in animals with simmilar life habbits and then the groups wouold get more detailed and more detailed.

The difference between absorption and digestion is digestion is the chemical and physical breakdown of food into compunds usable by the body, and absorption is the taking up of the compounds by the body, either through the stomach lining or through the intestinal walls. In a light reaction, light energy from the sun is used to split water (called photolysis) which has been sucked in by plants by transpiration. The sunlight hits chloroplasts in the plant and the leafs of the plant, causing an enzyme to break apart the water. Water, when broken, makes oxygen, hydrogen, and electrons. The hydrogen converts to NADP which is then used in the light reactions. Oxygen diffuses out of the plant as a waste product of photosynthesis and ATP is synthesized from ADP and inorganic phosphate. This all happens in the granna of chloroplasts. In the dark reaction, sugars are built up using carbon dioxide and the products of the light reactions (ATP and NADP) and various other chemicals found in the plant in the Calvin Cycle. Therefore, the dark reaction cannot happen without the light reaction. Carbon dioxide diffuses into the plant and along with chemicals in the stroma of the chloroplast and ATP and NADP, glucose is made and finally, transported around the plant by translocation.

And I will answer the question anyways. So what happens during the dark reactions of photosnthesis is carbon dioxide is converted to sugar using ATP and NADPH. Then carbon dioxide is combined with carbon sugar and carbon sugar breaks down into two molecules, glucose and fructose. Glucose and fructose can be used to make sucrose. All of this happens in the cholorplast. That is what happens during the dark reactions of photosynthesis. During the light reactions of photosynthesis, which is the first stage of photosynthesis, light energy is being converted to chemical energy. It is being transferred by the energy carriers ATP and NADPH. This light reaction is also happening in the chloroplast. My question is What are the stages of meiosis?

The blood is first pumped through the left side of the heart through the aorta and comes back into the heart via either the superior or inferior vena cava on the right side of the heart to feed the cells of the heart.

ATP and ADP are energy molecules (adenosine triphosphate and adenosine diphosphate, respectively). In ATP there are 3 phosphate groups, hence triphosphate. When you break off one of those phosphates you release energy, and it becomes adenosine diphosphate. Adding one will store energy in it. Therefore ATP and ADP provide energy to help start processes in cell respiration by providing energy. Same with photosynthesis. ATP releases a phosphate group in order to help carry out some of the parts of photosynthesis.

Sickle celled anemia is when the red blood cells are abnormal. The red blood cells are normally like life savers with the hole still in the center. Sickle celled anemia is when the cells are in different shapes the cause them to have less surface area and have an abnormal "squished" shape.
