Nano-foods-Consumer Science

Nano-foods, or cloned foods, have made their way to the shelves of our local supermarkets. Nanotechnology has allowed for the advancement in foods on a molecular scale. It has become of concern to the consumer whether these Nano products are safe and if the manufactures should be forced to identify them as such. Nano-technology is a fast growing business and new consumer products are put on the market each week.

Comments:
I think that the US health officials should require that the molecularly altered foods be labeled or something. Even if they claim the food is not hazardous, many people would like to know what they're eating. Some may even be unwilling to buy the products. So by not telling the consumers, it's like taking away their choice between the two. Its ethnicallity is hard. From the exterior no one can really say it's not ethical. However, if you decide to look deeper, it has a resemblence to genetic engineering, like the article had said. Personally, I would prefer that nothing be tampered with, but if it has a positive influence than it's more of a pro con thing.
