The article about household cures for goiters was interesting and informing. I never knew that there were ways to cure a disease without going to the doctor for medication. These household cures are inexpensive an accessible right in the comfort of your own home. Although this cure seems great it does have some side affects and may not work for every person. I probably wouldn’t use one of these remedies because I can get medication from my doctor which would probably be easier and more effective. But if I needed to I would take advantage of the household cures for many diseases such as goiters. This link is about a remedy for Alzheimer’s. It explains causes remedies and diet to cure Alzheimer’sClick Here!

I think that this article is interesting and surprising. It's surprising because when I think of remedies I think of medicine prescribed by doctors, not swamp cabbage. I would never think of things found in nature like cucumbers to help treat goiters. Treating goiters kind of sounds like dieting because it is telling u to eat healthy foods and beverages.
I probably would not use this form of cure. Some of the remedies sound weird. I would mostly go to my doctor first.
Home Remedies for Asthma
This site tells about ways to help during an asthma attack. One way is if you have an asthmatic attack is to take a rip banana and warm it on a slow flame on a gas stove. The sprinkle some black pepper on it and eat it. There are also many other ways to help during an asthma attack.

i like this. instead of buying expensive meds and aggravating your insurance company, you can just eat a little healthier. its cheap, its effective, it stimulates the economy. it is good. i would do it. first off i save money doing it. second, its easy! all i have to do is eat! i dont have to remember to take "3 pills a day at 6 and 1/2 hour intervals" or anything. so yeah this is pretty nice.

basically this site has a major remedy to sinus infections, followed by several home remedies. the major remedy is designed to really kick the infections and the minor ones finish it off.

The article is very interesting, but I'm not too sure I would use them. Since the goiter is a disease of the thyroid, it can be very serious. Also the thyroid is controlled by the pituitary gland, which sends a lot of hormones all over your body, and a problem with this can be very serious. Yes these remedies can be inexpensive and accessible, I would not want it to interfere with the real treatment that a doctor would give you.
So I guess in the long run, I would not use it because it is not proven to help. I would most likely get a prescription from a real doctor.
home remedies
This website tell about home remedies that may help people with arthritis. One of the main ways they talk about is a raw potato juice therapy.

That article was way cool. I like the idea of home remedies way better then the drugs doctors prescribe. Although the drugs may work faster, the household cures seem to give me a more reassuring feel, to know what I am intaking and such. Plus, it saves money that could be used for other essentials. I don't know if I would use it for something as serious as a goiter though. More like a cold, fever, or soar throat.(for minor things like such ^^^)

Another Do-It-Yourself!

Just for the little things. A remedy for curing a soar throat.

I think this whole idea for using home remedies is not bad, but it does not help too much either in my opinion. I think that for example, moving your neck around and getting it moving a little will help it, but not much. Also, getting a warm bandage covered with leaves covered in ghee is not going to fix it completely when put on the swollen. I think all these home remedies will just make the swelling go down, but I think you should see a doctor instead of taking the risk.

I wouldn't use any of the remedies because they sound gross, like covering your swollen glands in leaves filled with ghee is disgusting and you would probably smell bad for days on end. Most of the remedies, or some of them are not too appealing to me. I would only use the home remedies to help the symptoms, but I would still definitely see a doctor.

I think home remedies are great and very effective not only in helping to treat illness but are also useful in normal and healthy lifestyles because they are based around a healthy diet. Although some may think these remedies useless, I don't think they are because a healthy diet ultimately keeps one running their best and fighting illness. Another positive to home remedies is that you know exactly what you are putting into your body unlike when you take medicine. I feel this goiter remedy is a beneficial one for anyone suffering with this malfunction of the thyroid gland because it incorporates iodine containing food which the thyroid needs to control the situation. A good diet is the way to a healthy life but at the same time docto's know best and if you have an illness a visit to the doctor would probably prove more effective in the long run.
I would use anyone of the home remedies mentioned because I think they would be beneficial in raising iodine levels for my thyroid and would also provide a healthy diet. But, I would consult a doctor as well if I did have a issue with goiter.
Got Knee Pain?
This site describes several different home remedies for joint pain including a warm bath, eating roasted garlic with butter, eating bananas or a glass of milk with some turmeric. (the site is from India so Savan may enjoy it )

This was a very informative article. I think that the use of home remedies is a healthy way of working against diseases or injuries. They do not have some of the side effect on the body that medications do, like your tongue turning blue (or something like that). They are very organic and help to cure harmed areas without anything artificial. I also like the fact that home remedies can be less expensive, making these remedies more convenient. I don't think it is appropriate to use home remedies when it is a very serious or dire situation; in these circumstances, I would most certainly consult a professional (but that is sort of common knowledge, don't you think?). But yes, I would use home remedies when I could.
Click here for a link that shows some remedies for Epilepsy. I think that a doctor should be consulted if one has this disease, but one of my family members was diagnosed with Epilepsy, so this striked my interest.

This article was very cool. There are inexpensive easily accessible everyday items that could be used as remedies. I wouldn't want to use it in place of the real medicine that doctors give but if it's nothing too serious, I'd give it a try. <a href="http://www.40cozy.com/uncategorized/8-bizarre-hangover-cures-from-around-the-world/>Clickkk</a>

This article has many strange remedies to hangovers. Such as putting lemon juice in your armpits. lol

This article was very interesting. It was about home remedies for goiters. I didnt think any home remedies would actually work. I think it is great though that I could use home remedies instead of medication. If a home remedy could work as well as medication then why would spend so much money on medicine. The home remedies are inexpensive and convenient. I don't think I would use home remedies unless it was for something minor. I would rather get something from my doctor. I wouldn't be sure how the side effects of home remedies would affect me.
This website explains remedies for shingles.

Many people belive in natural remedies that can help cure a disease or help ease as much pain as possible that is caused from a disease or an injury. These rememdies are effective and are inexpensive, which is a plus for elderly people. However, these remedies are not effective for everyone, and they may be threatening throughout the rest of the body. Going to the doctor for prescription may be more effective to treat the disease but could be more expensive in the long run.
I would at least try to use natural remedies to see if they actually have an effect on the treatment for a diease. However, if there is no improvement, i would see a doctor immediately.
Natural remedies for high blood pressure!
High blood pressure is present in nearly one in three adults in America, even if they do not know about it because it can be a silent disease. There are many remedies that can be taken in order to level out the high blood pressure by taking different nutrience vitamins.

This sounds good. It was interesting to see how diseases could be cured without all those expensive medications. Most of it is also really easy to do. In addition, unlike prescription medication, you completely know what all you are taking into your body. However, personally, i would consult a doctor instead of trying to cure it by myself. It is not known of how safe each of these cures are and whether or not these have any after effects. But I dont really have anything against it and i would surely take it if need be.

This website gives cures for most eye related problems. These include astigmatism, Myopia, etc. They talk about the use of rose water, walnuts and intake of vitamins (to name a few) to cure these problems.

i think this is a fabulous idea! my mother is always complaining about having to buy prescriptions and pay copays, so i'm sure this would alleviate a lot of those expenses. not only are the cure cheap and edible, but they would promote healthier habits too. i think that i would definitely try to use these remedies, but if symptoms persist, head straight on to the doctor ;) while it appears as there are a lot of side effects to these pseudo medications, on a given medicine that's prescribed, there are just as many as potential side effects, so i think it's a risk we could be willing to take! one website
that shows the cure for stomach aches says you can eat anything with true peppermint, take the juice from ginger snaps and massage it on your belly, and that you can eat yogurt to regulate your digestive tract because of the bacteria in it, among several other remedies.

I actually think that home remedies aren't as crazy or useless as some people perceive them to be. I mean, what did people do BEFORE scientists created all these new medicines? I for one, believe that home remedies are a safer way to do things. How many of you know exactly what's in your medicines anyway? But although the IDEA of home remedies are great, you still have to remember, back in the old days, the life expectancy wasn't all that high either. I would suggest going to the doctor for ailments such as the goiter, which is really serious, but maybe next time you have a headache, instead of popping a couple Advil, why not try drinking some peach juice? It couldn't hurt!

Natural Home Remedies for Headaches!
The above link is for......you guessed it!......curing headaches! (And its also where I got the "peach juice" idea.)

I think that home cures is a good idea. Im sure that most of the illnesses can be cured by something natural like herbs. Most of the doctors medication is from natural ingreditents it is just isolated for convience. The fact that all of our ancestors manageed to survive well enough without and high tech multisymptom drug. Another factor to take in is the placebo affect. If someone was to think that it will work then most cases it will work because you have made your mind believe it. This is a common thing to do when testing out a new medicine giving a group the meds and the other a sugar pill or placebo. In most cases the medicine will work because of the fact that it has things in it that will help you. However there are people in the other group that will take the sugar pill and will think that it is medication thus tricking the mind into warding off the sickness.
Placebo
This talks about how the mind is being tricked into curing ilnesses itself and that nowadays people are more seceptable to placebo affect because of all the meds they can take.

I found this article interesting and unique. I didn't know that there was acually home remedies for goiters and many other diseases and illnesses. This is a great and inexpensive way to get treatment and cure yourself without having to go to the doctor and paying a lot of money on medications. I do however believe that there is a point when you may need to go to a doctor. Besides these household cures may not work or show any improvements at all. But it's worth a try using home remedies. If I had to I probably would try a home remedy.
LINK
This link talks about some remedies for arthritis.

A goiter is caused directly by a deficiency of iodine and causes a swelling in the thyroid gland. If the goiter is enlarged and inflamed, touching the trachea, swallowing and breathing can be hard. Foods rich in iodine should thus be taken in order prevent and cure goiters. Examples of such foods are pineapple, guava, strawberry and egg yolks. Pastes made of watercress and dandelion leaves can be applied to the swollen region and his helps to relieve discomfort. Also in order to prevent goiters avoid drinks like coffee, alcohol and soda. I would try any of these home remedies because they can be added into my diet without my difficulty. Also they provide for a less expensive alternative to antibiotics and are nature's way of curing a person.
Home Remedies for Constipation
Constipation is a common disturbance of the digestive tract. In this condition, the bowels do not move regularly, or are not completely emptied when they move. Some home remedies are fruits such as papayas and figs. Half a medium-sized papaya should be eaten at breakfast for it to act as a laxative. Both fresh and dry figs have a laxative effect as well.

This article is very interesting. It tells about how there are homemade remedies that don't require going to a doctor. These remedies are cheap and easily accessible from home. The remedies are not perfect though, they do have their side affects and don't work with everyone. I might use a remedy like this if I wasn't that sick or in dire need to be healthy again. If I did have a serious disease I would put my trust in the doctors and not some remedy that isn't proven to work.

This website has an article about remedies for cold sores. Some of the remedies are ice and a tea bag.

I think using household cures for goiters is very interesting. I new there was ways of curing goiters with household remedies because I think my family knows some. It is very convenient, instead of going to the doctors and paying a huge bill, you can just take stuff from out of your house and use them. If the remedies work, then it is a very good idea to use them. Even though its less expensive it probably doesn't mean its a reliable remedy, so i would still probably so go to the doctors. The doctors usually have legit medicine, like pills and stuff.

Diarrhea

This article talks about home remedies that can help regulate diarrhea. It has all sorts of methods for regulating your diarrhea like problems. Such as, take homeopathic Arsenicum if you feel you have eaten spoiled food. This will help control the discharge without interfere with the elimination of toxins.

I think that these home remedies for goiters is a smart idea. For a lot of people who have little to no health insurance this is a great way to get themselves healthy again. The doctors most likely used the information on these remedies to make medicine today. There are a lot of remedies out on the internet to see and try if you need, too. I personally would use these remedies because they are not harmful to your body. Did you know that there is a home cure for acne?!?!

Some of those cures are common foods that I eat everyday. Most of them I like and would happily take as "medicine." Some of them, I just don't find very appealing. I also really don't like that I would have to cut out a lot of the tasty and "unhealthy/greasy" foods that I like too. I like healthy food but I dont have any problem with the unhealthy stuff either, so that would probably be a little hard to do. They seem like decent cures, so I would use it because most of them seem fine. Taking medicine just seems easier because that is what I am used to, but if I had to use one of these cures, I wouldnt turn it down.

Sinus Infections

This link talks about natural remidies that can cure sinus infections.

There are many ways to attempt to cure problems. You can try to create your own, or just go see a doctor. But why would you automatically go to a doctor for medication that is realllllly expensive? You can make a home remedy for a lot less money. It doesn't always work for everyone though. But if it does work, it may be worth a try.
REMEDIES
This site shows how common household items can be used to help cancer. But, the type of cancer has an effect on the type of remedy needed.

It is interesting that everyday herbs and plants can cure serious problems, like goiters. I always thought that you had to get special medication or even surgery to get rid of a goiter. This could vastly improve the health of many people while also being inexpensive. It is innovative and could be extremely useful in our ever-growing society. I would use this treatment for goiters because I know exactly what is being used and i'll know there won't be any odd side effects. There are also remedies for various illneses, like arthritis that you might think you need medication for. People have proven that drinking alfalfa tea relieves pain from arthritis and vinegar put on place of irritation from arthritis relieves pain.

This article was very interesting. It's strange to know that you could cure a disease without going to a hospital or a doctor. You would never think that nature would help treat goiters. This disease is basicly telling you to eat healthy. I would use these remedies because it is cheaper and easier. It's also faster to get the "medication" or remedy.

Measles is a disease that is easily spread. It's a serious disease hat has many symptoms.

I think this article is very interesting and quite helpful. I had no idea that there were household remedies for curing illnesses such as goiters. I think its amazing how something made in your house can be just as effective if not more effective than prescribed medication from your doctor. Although i think this is a great idea i also think i would be a little hesitant to try it myself as it would be much easier for me to go to the doctor but if i was ever put in the situation of not being able to do that this is defiantly an option i would consider. This is a link to several home remidies Click Here

I liked the article about remedies for goiters. I have read other stories about these working so it's easier then going to the doctor and getting medication. It's also inexpensive. These remedies are really great for people who can't afford to get medication or surgery but they might not work for everybody because everyone is different.

I would probably use the home remedies first and see how they work out. if they do not work I would go see my doctor. But I like the home remedies idea for a lot of body problems.

I don't like when people have bad breath so if you doClick Here

This article was very interesting and most of that information is good to know. Today using cures of certain leaves, spices and household vegetables is not as common as it was in the past. Most people just go to the drug store or the doctor.
But I think using these kinds of cures is cheap and healthy. The article made it sound more natural and less harmful to your body. Personally, I would use household remedies if i had common sicknesses like the cold, a cough, even a rash, a stomach ache, or a head ache. But if i had more complicated sicknesses i would see a doctor just to be safe and sure that i would be cured quicker.
