Biology Is Life !

Senator Nelson had the first idea to put the environment into the political "limelight" once and for all. At the time Americans were not very Earth conscious and were polluting the air. The idea for Earth Day eveolved over seven years starting in 1962 and the first official Earth Day was in 1970. Senator Nelson debated continuously to have a day like this and was eventully successful.
